Trousers are simply pants, although when speaking of mens suits the old word "trousers" is used. This is probably because high fashion originated in the Old World and Americans lack any of the huge developments in fashion from Europe since it has only been a country for a comparatively short time. If you're in a tuxedo rental place and are confused by the words the nice clerks use, it's probably because they're just using different language for the same things.

The trousers made from this fabric are extremely low maintenance compared to trousers made from any other fabric like silk. Cotton trousers are also good looking but are extremely hard to maintain and require a lot of care.
